On Sunday, June 11, our council held an Exemplification ceremony, followed by a potluck meal in the parish hall. Exemplification is a Knights of Columbus ceremony held to advance new and existing members through the lessons of Charity, Unity, and Fraternity.
During this ceremony we welcomed and inducted Wasfy Fahmy (Hani), Ted Gorski, Tom Pietrocini, and Robert Morris as Third-Degree members of our council. Tom Pietrocini was also awarded Knight of the Year by our Grand Knight, Frank Schlupp.
We’re very grateful to Father Moerman for presiding over this special ceremony. A special thanks also goes out to Frank Schlupp for his leadership as Presiding Officer and Russ Hendrickson as Investing Officer. Thanks also to Mike Harkness, Mike DiNatale, Joe Powers, Mark Osterman, and Rick deSante for their support.
The event was capped off with a 50/50 drawing with our own Knight, Brother Mike Steadman, winning half the $4,500 raised, and the other half going to the parish.
