Council Assists at Breakfast with Santa - December 12, 2009
The council
helped out with various support services at St. Isaac Jogues annual
Breakfast with Santa on Saturday morning, Dec. 12. Activities included
guest check-in, serving breakfast, providing photos, assisting with visits to Santa, and clean-up.

Altar Servers Recognition Event - November 15, 2009
The altar servers of St. Isaac Jogues
Parish were recognized at a special event
hosted by the council during 10:30 am Mass on Sunday, November 15.
Service award
certificates and gifts were given to the altar servers during
the ceremony. A reception was hosted after Mass by the Ladies Auxiliary
of the council in
celebration and appreciation of the altar servers.
Council Assists with Special Olympics - November 7, 2009
The
council assisted for the fourth consecutive year with the annual Special
Olympics held at Villanova University. Activities consisted of working
the food services lines at breakfast and lunch, as well as cleaning
tables and other tasks. Pictured are Bill Ristey, Joe Layden, Joe
Powers, Len Trainor and Tony Cucchi assisting at the South Food Services
facility. Not pictured are Jeremy Blackburn, Jack Johnson, John Manza
and Jack Marchiano. Special thanks goes to John Manza for organizing
this project.
Veterans Hosted at Cookout - September 19, 2009
A
sunny Autumnal day was the setting for a lunchtime cookout hosted by the
council on the grounds of the Veterans Administration facilities in
Coatesville, PA. Numerous veterans residing at the facility enjoyed
grilled hot dogs, hamburgers and other picnic cuisine provided by
council members. The guests noted how much they enjoyed this change of
routine. Pictured are council members who helped prepare and serve the
picnic fare.
Gift Presented to Chester County SWAT Team - September 16, 2009
At
its regular business meeting on Sept. 16, the council presented Lt.
Steve Dintino of the Chester County Emergency Response (SWAT) Team with
a gift of $650 toward the purchase of equipment which reduces the need
for lethal force in high-risk incidents. The gift was given in
appreciation for all the hard work done by area law enforcement officers
to provide a safe environment for residents. Funding was provided by the
council, as well as St. Thomas More Council in Pottstown and SS. Simon
and Jude Council in West Chester. Pictured are project chairman Don
Smith and Lt. Dintino.
Council Recognizes Immediate Past Grand Knight - July 15, 2009
As
its regular business meeting on July 15, the
council recognized outgoing Grand Knight Joe Monte for his dedicated
service over the past three years. Deputy Grand Knight Jack Marchiano
enumerated the various projects undertaken by the council under Joe's
leadership. Pictured are newly elected Grand Knight Jack Johnson along
with Joe Monte, who is holding a plaque of appreciation presented to him
that evening.
