Welcome to our New Member - Dec. 12, 2005
The
council welcomes into its ranks Anthony Perretta, who received both
First and Second Degrees on Dec. 12 at St. Cornelius Parish in Chadds
Ford. Total council membership now stands at 52.
Council Assists
at Breakfast with Santa - Dec. 10, 2005
The
annual Breakfast with Santa parish event was a tremendous success
again this year, with over 180 parishioners enjoying the cuisine, and
many of the younger members of the parish getting an opportunity to
visit with Santa. The council assisted with guest check-in, food
service, raffle sales, and clean-up. Special thanks go to Jack Marchiano
for coordinating council assistance with Parish Services.
Council Hosts Altar Servers Recognition Event - Nov. 13, 2005
The altar servers of St. Isaac Jogues
Parish were recognized for their dedicated service at a special event
hosted by the council during 10:30 Mass. Award certificates and gift
medals were given to the altar servers, with Fr. Paschal conducting a
special blessing of the servers. John and Linda Chiles were also
recognized for their work in training and scheduling the altar servers.
A Parish Coffee was hosted by the council after the 10:30 Mass in
celebration and appreciation of the altar servers.
Welcome to our New
Members - Nov. 7, 2005
The
council welcomes into its ranks 6 new members who received both their
First and Second Degrees on Nov. 7, 2005. Pictured (left to right): new
members Mark D'Antonio, William Longua, Michael Aquilante, Carlo Cocco,
John Manza, current members Anthony Aquilante and Joseph Quici who
received their Second Degree that evening, and new member Alex Corridoni.
Also welcomed into the council are reapplication members Neil Duffy,
Donald Smith, and Edward C. Sweeney.
Council Assists with
Fall Feast Italiano - Oct. 22, 2005
 The Fall Feast Italiano dinner
event was a tremendous success, providing over 160 parishioners and
other guests with wonderful cuisine and great fellowship. $3,865 was
raised for the benefit of
St. Isaac Jogues Parish. The council
assisted
Aquilante's Gourmet Buffets with event planning and promotion,
guest reservations and check-in, set-up, food service, bartending,
hospitality services, and clean-up. Special recognition goes to Frank Yanni and Joe Monte for coordinating this assistance.
Support Given to Local
Seminarians - Oct. 5, 2005
The
council welcomed seminarians Jeff Rott and John Weber to its meeting on
October 5th. The seminarians described their back- grounds and current
program of studies at St. Charles Seminary. The council members also
introduced themselves and expressed their gratitude and support.
A contribution of $500 was made to Mr. Weber by the council to help with
his expenses.

Council Hosts St. Isaac
's Breakfast Café - Sept. 25, 2005
200 parishioners and other guests
attended St. Isaac's Breakfast Café, the first general breakfast
event put on by the council.
Aquilante Catering provided the food and
beverages, featuring frittata and numerous other culinary delights.
Over $1000 was raised for parish needs. Special recognition goes to Jim Borger, Joe Monte, and Jack Marchiano
for organizing the event.
K of C Announces
Katrina Disaster Relief Effort - Sept. 2, 2005
The Knights of Columbus has pledged a minimum of $2.5
million in financial assistance and will match any funds beyond that
donated to the Knights of Columbus Katrina Relief Fund over the next 60
days.

Council Receives
Founders' Award - August 3, 2005
The international headquarters of the Knights of
Columbus presented the Founders' Award to the local council on August 3,
2005. This award is given in recognition of achievements in service
programming and participation in the Order's insurance program.

The council welcomes into its ranks

June 29, 2005.
Successful
Blood Drive - June 17, 2005
The Knights of
Columbus' Blood Drive was held on June 17, 2005 at St. Isaac Jogues parish
hall. A total of 53 units were collected, a 15% increase over last year.
The council expresses its thanks to all who donated, and all who worked
to make it a success. Special recognition goes to Bill Ristey and Brian Downey for organizing this effort.
Knights Assist with
Parish Golf Classic - June 6, 2005
The 2005 Parish Golf Classic and
Fundraiser was a great success, raising over $16,200 that will go to the
Capital Improvement Fund. The council assisted in this effort in several
ways. A donation of $100 was made to sponsor a golf hole. The council
also donated 4 tickets for seats to an Eagles game, sold through the
Silent Auction. In addition, the council collected donations for the
"Closest to the Pin Spectacular" Helicopter Drop.
Election of Officers -
June 1, 2005
Officers for the Fraternal Year 2005-2006 were elected on
June 1, 2005. Click here for the officers'

Council Knights Advance to
Fourth Degree - May 29, 2005
Six
members of the council received their Fourth Degree in an
exemplification held at the Hilton Hotel in King of Prussia, PA on May
29, 2005. Jeremy Blackburn, Jack Marchiano, Joseph Monte, James Tinneny,
Leonard Trainor, and Frank Yanni advanced to this highest degree of the
order, known as the patriotic degree.
Lasagna Dinner a Sellout -
April 23, 2005
150
parishioners and other guests of the council experienced a taste of Old
Italy with the lasagna dinner prepared and served by the knights.
Although the council had become operational only a month before, the
tremendous teamwork of the knights was evident in this successful event.
Special recognition goes to Joe Monte and Jack Marchiano for chairing
the event and for all their hard work to make this event a success.
